The Moment Something Wants to Be Made

“Creativity isn’t a skill. It’s a response to something stirring within.”
There are moments when an image, a phrase, or a gesture appears — seemingly out of nowhere. It doesn’t come from thinking. It comes from the field, from the space between stillness and action.
I once drew a mandala without planning. The colors, shapes, and lines flowed easily. Later, I realized it held something I hadn’t yet named — a pattern emerging in my life. The drawing showed it before I could speak it.
Following the Spark
Creative impulses are not decorations. They are messages. When they arise:
- Stop and listen before judging
- Notice what medium feels right — drawing, writing, movement
- Create without needing it to be understood
This is not about art. It’s about access — to the inner movement that speaks before words do.
Reflective Note
When was the last time something creative wanted to come through you?
What would happen if you followed it without needing to know why?
